One of Philadelphia's most prominent and popular showcases for performing arts, FringeArts was seeing major increases in attendance and interest from audiences, but did not have the capacity to raise money from individual donors. With this grant, the organization worked with consultants to develop a major gifts campaign, building strategies for cultivation while also upgrading data systems and training staff and board in cultivation. As a result of this work, total individual giving increased from $195,842 in 2009 to $474,542 in 2011. In addition, the FringeArts festival's major donor pool increased to 200 by 2011. [fn]Management grants, through the Philadelphia Cultural Management Initiative, were awarded from 2009 through 2013.[/fn]
