Facility renovations for accessibility and inclusion

FringeArts will redesign its performance space to improve accessibility and comfort for patrons, maximize operational efficiency, and increase earned revenue. Planned renovations include a reconfigured theater entrance and gender-neutral restrooms. Working with design and architecture consultants, the organization will analyze the use of space and patron flow in its facility, which serves as a central contemporary arts hub on the Delaware River waterfront.

The total grant amount represents project funding plus an additional 20% in unrestricted general operating support.

FringeArts commissions, develops, and presents a range of high-quality contemporary performing arts that challenge convention and inspire new ways of thinking. Works are staged during the annual Fringe Festival, and, since 2013, in a full-year schedule of performances by local, national, and international artists.
