Judd Greenstein is both a composer and music presenter based in Brooklyn, NY. His compositions are structurally complex and viscerally engaging for varied instrumentation. Much of his work is tailored to specific talents and abilities for virtuosic ensembles and solo performers. Among others, his work has been presented at the Tanglewood Festival of Contemporary Music, MusicNOW, the Bang on a Can Marathon, MATA,Wordless Music, the SONiC Festival, and Keys to the Future. As a presenter, Greenstein serves as the co-director of New Amsterdam Records/New Amsterdam Presents, a presenting and artists' service organization that supports new music by composers and performers whose work grows from the fertile ground between genres. He is the curator of the Ecstatic Music Festival, an annual showcase of new collaborative concerts between artists from different musical worlds, and he is a founding member of NOW Ensemble. He is a passionate advocate for the independent new music community. Greenstein served as a 2014 Pew Fellowships panelist.
