Argeo Ascani is Curator for Music at EMPAC, the Curtis R. Priem Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York. He is one of few saxophonists to perform on the entire range of saxophones from sopranino to contrabass, and remains dedicated to performing new music. He has performed at the Bang on a Can Marathon at MassMOCA, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, and Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall. For five years, Ascani taught in the Music History and Contemporary Performance departments at the Manhattan School of Music, where he received his undergraduate and graduate education, and has given master classes and lectures in over a dozen countries. In 2015, he served as a Pew Fellowships panelist.
