Walls Behind Walls

Eleone Dance Theatre

Eleone Dance Theatre commissioned choreographer Abdur-Rahim Jackson to create the new ballet Walls Behind Walls. Jackson’s new work combined ballet and hip-hop dance styles, and featured music by Groundtruther and Daft Punk. Walls Behind Walls premiered during Eleone's 2007–08 season and went on to become part of the company's touring repertoire.

Eleone Dance Theatre is a Philadelphia based troupe dedicated to the preservation and creation of dance that celebrates intergenerational and multicultural themes. In recent years, the Center has provided support for the company to perform the works of Dianne McIntyre and Katherine Dunham.
