Headlong created Cell, a dance-theater event designed to be experienced by one audience member at a time. Collaborating with technology artists Jennifer McCoy and Kevin McCoy, Headlong developed an intimate performance journey in which an audience member is led through a tour of city streets and buildings, with immersive video projections dispersed throughout, before becoming engulfed in a private dance. Cell premiered during the 2006 Philadelphia Fringe Festival and was later presented at the Guggenheim Museum in New York, and in the International Festival of Art & Ideas in New Haven, Connecticut.
