Peter Eleey is the chief curator at MoMA PS1. Since joining the museum in 2010, he has organized or co-organized more than 30 exhibitions, including premiere presentations of Ed Atkins, Darren Bader, Sascha Braunig, Ian Cheng, Matt Connors, and Metahaven; as well as surveys of Huma Bhabha, James Lee Byars (with Magali Arriola), Simon Denny, Lara Favaretto, Maureen Gallace, George Kuchar, Maria Lassnig, Mark Leckey (with Stuart Comer), Thomas Lanigan-Schmidt, Henry Taylor (with Laura Hoptman) and Cathy Wilkes. Previously, Eleey was curator of visual arts at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis and curator and producer at Creative Time, overseeing major commissions, performances, and exhibitions at sites around New York. Eleey contributed to Pigeons on the Grass: Contemporary Curators Talk About the Field, published by the Center in 2013. He served as a Center exhibitions panelist in 2010 and as a Center LOI panelist in Performance in 2018.
