Matt Adams is a co-founder of Blast Theory, a UK-based multidisciplinary artists’ group specializing in interactive work and new technologies. Blast Theory’s work has been shown at the Venice Biennale, Tate Britain, and Sundance Film Festival, and the group has received the Golden Nica at Prix Ars Electronica, the Nam June Paik Art Center Award, and four nominations from the British Academy of Film and Television Arts. Adams has curated at Tate Modern and the Institute of Contemporary Arts, London, and he has lectured widely, including at Stanford University, the Royal College of Art, and the Sorbonne. In 2019, Blast Theory collaborated with The Mütter Museum of The College of Physicians of Philadelphia on the Center-supported Spit Spreads Death: The Influenza Pandemic of 1918-19 in Philadelphia, a parade and exhibition about the 1918–19 influenza pandemic in Philadelphia.
