Vijay Palaparty is a bharatanatyam and kuchipudi dancer and choreographer, whose performance works have traveled throughout the US, Canada, India, and Australia. Palaparty has trained in classical Indian dance with master artists including Uma Rama Rao, Sudharani Raghupathy, and Padma Rajagopal, and has received an artist fellowship from the District of Columbia Commission on the Arts and Humanities. Through Spilling Ink, a Washington, DC-based arts organization, Palaparty produces projects rooted in classical Indian dance forms, often incorporating elements of literary and visual arts. He also serves as a senior communications specialist at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors in Washington, D.C. In 2017, Palaparty served as a panelist in Performance.
