Saxophonist, arranger, and composer Tim Ries has worked with many greats, including Stevie Wonder, Rod Stewart, Maynard Ferguson, Paul Simon, Phil Woods, Joe Henderson, Tom Harrell, Al Foster, Michael Brecker, Dave Liebman, Donald Fagen, Lyle Lovett, Whitney Houston, Incognito, Sheryl Crow, Blood Sweat & Tears, Bob Belden, David Lee Roth, Maria Schneider, and the PRISM Quartet, and he toured for six years with the Rolling Stones. Ries' critically acclaimed releases The Rolling Stones Project (Concord Records) and Tim Ries Stones World, The Rolling Stones Project II (Sunnyside Records) feature several notable guest performers. Ries has served on the faculties of The New School, the City College of New York, the Mannes College of Music, Rutgers University, and New Jersey City University, and he was professor of jazz studies at the University of Toronto (2007–09). He was a Center music panelist in 2009.
