Robert Page is the Paul Mellon University Professor of Music Emeritus in the School of Music. In addition to his work with the choirs, Page is the coordinator of the opera program, supervising the music preparation and occasionally conducting performances. Page has served as professor of music and director of choral activities at Temple University; conductor emeritus of the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh; and assistant conductor and director of choruses of the Cleveland Orchestra. A multiple Grammy Award winner, Page was named Pennsylvania's Artist of the Year in 1998, and has conducted the world premieres and commissions of many major works internationally. Page has served on the choral, festival, and overview panels of the National Endowment for the Arts, and is a founding member of Chorus America, serving as its president for three years. He sat on the Center's 2009 music panel.
