Pamela Green is executive director of the Weeksville Heritage Center and she is responsible for the management and expansion of this unique and historic African-American preservation and education organization. Green's current focus is on the construction of a new multimillion-dollar education and cultural arts building. Prior to the Weeksville Heritage Center, Green was vice president of outreach and strategic partnerships for Sesame Workshop. Green created the Office of Food Programs and Policy Coordination for the City of New York. She also served as the commissioner of the Agency for Child Development. She was the first executive director of the Food dor Survival Food Bank. Green serves on the boards of Community Resource Exchange and the Museum Association of New York, and is a member of the Commission for an Age-Friendly NYC. She served as a Center heritage LOI panelist in 2012 and a heritage panelist in 2011.
