Martin Hartung is a doctoral fellow at the Institute for the History and Theory of Architecture (gta) at ETH Zurich, Switzerland, where he researches the exhibition history of architectural projects on the art market. Previously, Hartung served as a curatorial assistant in the department of media and performance art at The Museum of Modern Art, New York (2011-13). He was a visiting scholar at Columbia University, a scientific assistant at ZKM | Museum of Contemporary Art in Karlsruhe, Germany, and an assistant curator at Vitra Design Museum in Weil am Rhein, Germany. In addition to his curatorial work, Hartung is part of a network for art-market research at the Technical University of Berlin, and a member of the editorial board for the Art Market Dictionary. In 2017, he served as a panelist in Performance.
