Mark Brokaw is a respected freelance director who works primarily on new plays and musicals on and off-Broadway and at leading not-for-profit theaters in this country and abroad. He is the artistic director of the Yale Institute for Music Theatre in New Haven, CT, and an associate artist of the Roundabout Theatre in New York City. On Broadway he's directed Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella, The Lyons, Reckless, The Constant Wife, After Miss Julie, and Cry-Baby. He has directed many off-Broadway productions, and his New York work includes premieres by David Auburn, Lynda Barry, Douglas Carter Beane, Eric Bogosian, Charles Busch, Julia Cho, Lisa Kron, Kenneth Lonergan, Craig Lucas, Nicky Silver, Paula Vogel, and Wendy Wasserstein. He has also directed at London's Donmar Warehouse, Dublin's Gate Theatre, and the Sydney Opera House. Brokaw served as a Center theater panelist in 2013 and 2011, and an LOI panelist in 2012.
