Licia Perea is the artistic director of Los Angeles-based company Danzantes. She served as a Center dance panelist from 2010–11 and a LOI panelist in 2011. Perea has taught and performed professionally as a soloist and with Danzantes throughout the United States, Germany, Mexico, and Russia. She has been awarded two choreographer's fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, and she is a recipient of a City of Los Angeles Performing Arts Fellowship.
