Joshua Rubin is a founding clarinetist and the program director of ICE (International Contemporary Ensemble), where he oversees the creative direction of more than 50 concerts per season in the United States and abroad. He has performed as a soloist at the Mostly Mozart Festival at Lincoln Center; Cal Performances; the MCA Stage in Chicago, Miller Theatre in New York; and internationally in Poland, Mexico, Finland, and Germany. Rubin has worked closely with many prominent composers, including George Crumb, David Lang, John Adams, George Lewis, Philippe Hurel, Kaija Saariaho, Magnus Lindberg, Steve Lehman, Nathan Davis, Alvin Lucier, Philippe Manoury, John Zorn, and Mario Davidovsky. He was a 2012 Center panelist in music.
