Jenifer Papararo was appointed Director of Artistic Programs at the Plug In Institute of Contemporary Art in Winnipeg, Canada in November 2014. Papararo has 15 years of experience within the field of contemporary art as a curator, writer, and institutional director, and as a member of a service-oriented curatorial and artist collective. Previously she served as curator at the Contemporary Art Gallery in Vancouver. From 2002 to 2004 she was Director of Programming at Mercer Union, Toronto. She is a founding member of the curatorial and artist collec¬tive Instant Coffee, whose work has been exhibited at the Western Front, Vancouver; Vancouver Art Gallery; Toronto Sculpture Garden; Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, San Francisco; Subvision, Hamburg; Astronomical Futures, Copenhagen; Encuentro Internacional, Medellín; Sparwasser HQ, Berlin; Americas Society, New York; and the 2nd Tirana International Contemporary Art Biennial, Albania. Papararo served as a Pew Fellowships panelist in 2015.
