Harold Wolpert is the managing director of Roundabout Theatre Company in New York City. Under Wolpert's leadership, Roundabout opened the new Stephen Sondheim Theatre, the first LEED®-rated "green" venue on Broadway; began the Roundabout Underground program, designed to foster new works by emerging theater artists; launched Access Roundabout, an audience-development initiative that makes more than 34,000 affordable tickets available to the public each season; and became the first American theater company to produce a cinema broadcast of one of its productions, The Importance of Being Earnest: Live in HD. He previously served in leadership positions at the Circle Repertory Company and Manhattan Theatre Club in New York City and the Alley Theatre in Houston, Texas. He teaches graduate studies at Brooklyn College's theater department as an adjunct lecturer to the M.F.A. program in performing arts management. He served as a Center panelist in theater in 2009 and 2010.
