Guillaume Pirard is a violinist who has performed with the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, the Camerata Pacifica, A Far Cry, the Sejong Soloists, and the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie. As a founding member of the chamber orchestra The Knights, he has played in major festivals such as Tanglewood, Ravinia, Ojai, and Caramoor. In 2015, Pirard was featured as a soloist on The Knights' latest album, the ground beneath our feet (Warner Classics). Pirard studied modern and baroque violin at the Brussels Royal Conservatory of Music, the Den Haag Royal Conservatory, and The Juilliard School, where his teachers included Vera Beths, Hyo Kang, Anner Bylsma and Mira Glodeanu. Born in Belgium, Pirard currently lives in Brooklyn and teaches at New York University and San Diego State University. In 2015 and 2016, Pirard served as a panelist in Performance.
