Chris Jennings, a 2012 Center panelist in theater, is the managing director of Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington, DC, an exemplary producer of classical work, including daring adaptations. At Shakespeare Theatre, in addition to his management responsibilities, Jennings curates an active presenting program. As president of the International Theatre Institute of the United States, Chris knows leading theater artists from around the world and advocates for international collaboration. He previously served as general manager of Trinity Repertory Company (1999–2004) and Theatre for a New Audience (1997–99). Jennings has also held positions with Yale Repertory Theatre, Manhattan Theater Club, Texas Young Playwrights Festival, and Dougherty Arts Center.
