Catherine Hughes is project director of Meet the Past, a live interpretation initiative at the Atlanta History Center. She received a doctorate from the Ohio State University in theater education. For many years, she coordinated the Science Theater program at the Museum of Science, Boston. She was the founding executive director of the International Museum Theatre Alliance. She has written and presented widely on performance in museums, and her book, Museum Theatre: Communicating with Visitors through Drama, was published by Heinemann. Recently, she was one of the contributing authors of Performing Heritage, published by the University of Manchester. She sat on the Center's heritage panel in 2011.
