Professor of jazz drums at the Juilliard School of Music and New York University, Billy Drummond has toured and recorded with a variety of jazz masters including: Sonny Rollins, Pat Metheny, Joe Henderson, J.J. Johnson, Nat Adderley, Bobby Hutcherson, James Moody, Andrew Hill, Freddie Hubbard Eddie Gomez, Charles Tolliver, McCoy Tyner, Toots Thielmans, Steve Kuhn, Hank Jones, Buster Williams, Lee Konitz, Joe Lovano, Christian McBride, Joe Locke, Sheila Jordan, Larry Willis, Javon Jackson, Charles McPherson, Archie Shepp, Tony Malaby, Eric Reed, Marty Ehrlich, Chris Potter, and Eddie Henderson. He has released three CDs: Native Colours, The Gift, and Dubai, and he is a long-time member of Carla Bley and the Lost Chords and the Steve Kuhn Trio. He was a Center music panelist in 2010.
