Bebe Miller is the artistic director of Bebe Miller Dance Company in Columbus, Ohio. She investigates a mix of text, performance, and visual presentation. Miller's performances include Going to the Wall (1998), Verge(2001), and the Bessie award-winning Langing/Place (2005). In 1999, she, along with choreographer Ralph Lemon and filmmaker Isaac Julien, completed the award-winning collaborative film Three. Miller's work has been performed nationally and internationally in venues ranging from Brooklyn Academy of Music's Next Wave Festival, to numerous colleges and universities around the country. She has been awarded with four Bessie Awards, a John Simon Guggenheim Foundation Fellowship, an American Choreographers Award, and artist fellowships from both the New York Foundation for the Arts and the Ohio Arts Council. Recently, she was honored by New York Live Arts who presented her with the 2013 David White Award.
