Anthony Fogg's career combines performance with arts administration, and, in both aspects of his work, he is a strong champion of contemporary composers. Fogg became artistic administrator of the Boston Symphony Orchestra in 1994, where he works closely with music director James Levine on the planning of all performances by the orchestra, as well as the Tanglewood Music Festival. From 1986–94, Fogg was head of programming for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and served as the artistic director and pianist of the Seymour Group, a leading contemporary music organization in Australia. He served as the Center's panel chair in music in 2011.
