Fairmount Park Conservancy leads and supports efforts to improve Philadelphia’s parks. The nonprofit organization works closely with Philadelphia Parks & Recreation to champion both the natural and physical assets of the city’s extensive park system. The Conservancy helps to restore and maintain the parks, engages the public in supporting these civic spaces, and offers innovative programs—including a wide-reaching arts and culture program—throughout the 10,200 acres of Fairmount Park and more than 100 neighborhood parks around the city. The organization’s work has been recognized by the American Planning Association, Preservation Alliance for Greater Philadelphia, and Preservation Pennsylvania, among others.
