We are honored to receive recognition from the Philadelphia Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America’s Pepperpot Awards for our Pew Fellowships at 25 anniversary celebration. The Center received first place in the “Video Program” category for the project’s short film and series of video trailers, and second place in the category of “Special Events and Observances, 7 Days or More” for the anniversary’s multi-channel communications campaign.
The Pepperpot Awards are “a staple in the Philadelphia region, recognizing best- in-class public relations campaigns, tactics and professionals,” according to the organization’s press release. The Center’s work was recognized out of a field of nearly 100 entries.
Beginning in February 2017, Pew Fellowships at 25 was a four-month celebration marking the 25th anniversary of the Pew Fellowships in the Arts. To celebrate this milestone, the Center created a website and accompanying short film (below) highlighting a quarter-century of steadfast belief in the value and impact of artists. The website includes an oral history with Center executive director Paula Marincola and Fellowships director Melissa Franklin, a digital exhibition of Fellows’ work, interviews with our Fellows, and more. In the short film, poets, designers, filmmakers, theater directors, composers, and others reflect on the program’s impact on their own lives and on the region's community of artists.
