The Lantern Theater received project support for their 2007 production of Martin McDonagh's The Lonesome West. This project enabled the Lantern staff and artists to gain valuable technical skills in sculpture, casting, and molding as well as pyrotechnics. A gas stove was exploded over thirty-five times, and over 1,000 plaster figurines were painstakingly hand-crafted and destroyed on stage during the course of this production.
