Roger LaMay is general manager at WXPN (88.5 FM), a public radio station operated by the University of Pennsylvania. A 30-year broadcast veteran, LaMay joined WXPN in 2003 after serving as general manager and news director at Fox29/WTXF-TV in Philadelphia. LaMay is responsible for the overall operations of WXPN, including fundraising, programming, and marketing. During LaMay's tenure, WXPN forged a long-term partnership/distribution agreement with NPR and NPR Music, moved and expanded its annual summer music festival, and launched its popular Free at Noon live weekly concert series. In 2012, LaMay was elected to NPR's national board.
