Nick Stuccio serves as President and Producing Director at FringeArts, and is the co-founder of the Philadelphia Fringe Festival. His career in the arts began with an intensive study of classical ballet at Skidmore College, where he also earned a degree in biology. His dedication to the form led to an apprenticeship with the Pennsylvania Ballet and eventually a position as a corps member with the company, where he danced for eight years. Stuccio's many production credits include co-founding Shut Up and Dance, the popular annual benefit that showcases work choreographed and performed by dancers of the Pennsylvania Ballet and benefiting the Metropolitan Aids Neighborhood Nutrition Alliance (MANNA). Stuccio was the original curator of the Wilma Theater's Dance Boom series, and in 2005 was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Fine Arts by the University of the Arts. With Center support, FringeArts presented two works at the 2015 Fringe Festival: A re-imagined production of Available Light by choreographer Lucinda Childs, architect Frank Gehry, and composer John Adams, as well as the US premiere of After the Rehearsal/Persona by director Ivo van Hove and his Dutch theater company, Toneelgroep Amsterdam.
