James Claiborne is the senior vice president of exhibitions and programs at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History in Detroit. Previously, he was curator of public programs at the Barnes Foundation, where he curated the Center-supported William Edmondson: A Monumental Visionexhibition. Before joining the Barnes, he served as the director of programming at the African American Museum in Philadelphia.
