Hank Willis Thomas is a visual artist working primarily with themes related to identity, history, race, and popular culture. His work has been exhibited at venues such as the International Center of Photography, Studio Museum in Harlem, and the Baltimore Museum of Art, and is included in the collections of The Museum of Modern Art, New York, The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, and The Whitney Museum of American Art, among others. Thomas received a MFA/MA in photography and visual criticism from the California College of the Arts.
